Raul Solis

Raul Solis graduated from Trinity University with a B.A. in Art in May 1972. In 1971, Raul Solis was listed as a member of Los Pintores de Aztlan. 

Before his time at Trinity, Solis attended Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, TX and was awarded second place in the senior division of the Battle of the Flowers Band Festival Poster Art Contest in 1962. He also won first prize in the senior division of a poster contest sponsored by the Bexar County Tuberculosis Association in 1963. Solis also served as the sergeant-in-arms of the Brackenridge Industrial Arts Club. During his time at Trinity Solis exhibited his work at Trinity with Trinity members of Los Pintores de Aztlan in 1971.

In former Art Department Chair Bill Bristow’s archived files, Solis is listed as teaching at West Texas University in Canyon, Texas and working towards a graduate degree in Sociology.
