Program Descriptions

As a university, Trinity has valued various interdisciplinary research and programs, including programs related to Latin American studies. Beginning in the 1960’s they started a program which allowed students to focus on Latin America in various departments. Prior to this, Trinity offered individual courses featuring various aspects of Latin America.

The first major program would be the Latin American Studies major in 1966, with the most recent being the Global Latinx Studies major which began in 2019.
